First work day of 2008!

1.2.08
I was truly blessed to have a wonderful first work day of the New Year! Trey went to Miss Michelle's, which he was excited to play with his friends, and I got to work with one of the most amazing friends, Sonya! It was a complete surprise that I was going to be working with Sonya, she only works "as needed," and usually those days she is needed, I am not!!! She is such an inspiration to me! She is a phenomenal mother who dedicates her time, energy, and life to her children. If I can just be a fraction of the mother she is, I think I will be doing okay!

I loved working with you Sonya, hope you had as great of a day as I did!

Roaring Springs and Friends!

12.31.07
Before the year was through, our family took advantage of Roaring Springs Season Pass deal! This year two newbies will be joining us: Justin and baby Shaydon! I think Justin will enjoy his Mondays with Trey at the park, and baby Shaydon will be at a perfect age to just relax and enjoy the water! Heck, Sommers was water skiing at 8 months pregnant with Shaydon, he basically spent his in-utero existence at Lucky Peak! (I have pictures to prove Sommers courageous feat at water skiing 8 months pregnant, I will take any cash offers that you are willing to fork over in return for the pix!)
Can't wait for Summer!

Munchies!

1.1.08
After a night of partying, the man had some serious munchies. His parents had made truffles to take to friends for New Year's Eve, and he found a secret stash. So what does he do, he stuffs his face until he can barely breath!

What was YOUR first meal of 2008? Chocolate? It's going to be sweet year!!!!

A Bit Hung-Over ARe you?

1.1.08
I just had to laugh when Trey emerged from his room on New Year's Day! He looked like he had been partying ALL NIGHT LONG at some nasty party where they stripped him of his clothes and gave him noogies!

I thought to myself, "I wonder how many people feel just as he looks today?!"

So, I hope none of you looked this amazing on New Year's Day!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

12.31.07
After the Trey-Man exhausted himself of the car track and Noah's Ark, he went to bed at a decent hour, and we spent the rest of the evening in our hot tub watching fireworks our neighbors set off and enjoying a good Chick Flick! Just a side note: I had been wanting to watch a certain Chick Flick (and I wont mention the name because you will then realize how lame I really am!) but it was always checked out of the Red Box closest to our home. Justin jumped online to see what was the nearest Red Box to carry this certain Chick Flick. The only Red Box that had it was way across town! Justin quickly reserved it and we immediately jumped in our car to go get it! (so it can't be THAT lame of a movie for every Red Box in Nampa to be out of it right?!) Justin waited outside in the cold for hours it seemed (well, maybe not HOURS!) to retrieve our movie! I was pumped, and so grateful to have a husband that will sacrifice his New Year's Eve to watch a girly movie with me!!!
So, on New Year's Eve, we sat in our hot tub, enjoying a great, uplifting, entertaining Chick Flick while enjoying the "boom" and "crashes" of fireworks above our head! What a perfect way to ring in the New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Car Track of All Car Tracks!!!

12.31.07
Laura and Clay, my adopted family members (I grew up across the street from them in California and I love them as if they were family!), always send the best, most thoughtful gifts! Last year they sent Trey a Jeep Book that read like a Jeep, you could unfold it and lay it on the ground and use it as a track for little matchbox cars, OR you could fold it up and turn it into an actual Jeep that Trey could sit in and pretend to drive. If that Jeep really drove, Trey would have been around the country and back in it for as much time as he spent in it!
We also have a special love for dogs, and when I was 8 years old, Laura took me and our family dog Higgins to obedience school! I remember the minimal age a student had to be was 9, but we fibbed our way throughout the whole class and was never asked my age! I was by far the youngest there and the LEAST experienced when it came to taking control of my dog! (The class was held in a parking garage and I remember Laura running after Higgins, who had the worst habit of running away from everyone!) Laura and Clay always send a Dog Calendar which is always so sentimental to us!

COOPER BEING SHY-CLOSING HIS EYES!!!

Well, this year they really outdid themselves and sent Trey the most amazing Car Track! Personally, I think Justin was into the track just as much as Trey was! They quickly set it up and it has been set up and taken apart multiple times since it was opened!

I was also given a beautiful necklace which was called the Happy Woman Necklace! Laura wrote a special note, wishing me more Happiness and to stay a "Happy Woman!" I love it!

Thank you Clay and Laura, for always thinking of us! You two are amazing and we really love you!

"The Greatest Present EVER!"

12.31.07
We had been giving Trey "Pooping Presents" (Yes I know, TOO MUCH INFO!!!) while potty training. We had bought a Little People Noah's Ark, and divided up all of the animals that came with the set. After he would do the deed in the toilet, he would open ONE of the animals! During the holiday break, he really didn't the present re-enforcer any longer, so we decided to let him open the rest of the ark.
When we finally retrieved the ark from the packages strong grip (It took both Justin and I to wrestle that ark out of it's packaging!), Trey leaped for joy and yelled, "The Greatest Present EVER!" WHAT?!

Needless to say, it has been one of his favorite toys to play with, and I would have to say, maybe all of his hard work paid off. He really earned the gift, and that is why it is so valuable to him!!!
