1st day of Roaring Springs

5.23.09
Roaring Springs opened the 16th of May and we missed it! We were so disappointed, it has been our tradition to go on the opening weekend. We decided to extend our Anniversary week and go for the first time!

Before going to Roaring Springs, Justin had to check on one of his projects. Due to severe rain fall, one of his projects had major flooding. It just so happened that one of his projects was across the interstate from Roaring Springs. As Justin was evaluating the flooding, I watched the dark clouds roll over Roaring Springs.

Once at Roaring Springs, the skies cleared and we enjoyed a very quiet evening! Tian loved watching everyone swim (it was just a little too chilly for him to be in the water) and Trey even attempted a grown-up ride with Justin.(Justin snuck him on and he loved it!)

We look forward to many more evenings at Roaring Springs!

As we drove home from Roaring Springs, Trey said, "Mom, look how much I love you!" I turned around and Trey was pointing at his leg. He had found a pen in the car and began tatooing his body. Sweet guy, he dedicated one tatoo, a heart, to his mama! AWWWW, thanks Trey!

Anniversary Night

5.20.09 We had talked about what we wanted to do for our anniversary night. Because it was a Wednesday Night, we knew it would be slim pickings for babysitters (Young Women's/Mutual is on Wednesday Night in our area) so we decided to do something as a family. Trey has seen commercials for Chuck E. Cheese for years now and comments now and then about wanting to go. I don't think he really knew much about it, but I thought it would be harmless. Well, I had a lapse of memory and forgot how much Trey detests people dressed in mascot costumes. He LOVED all of the arcade games, LOVED the pizza (Justin and I thought it was pretty tasteless!) but when that furry BIG rodant (Trey commented on how much bigger he looked in real life) made an appearance throughout the place, Trey ducked for cover under the table. The place was filled with people to watch. People from ALL walks of life. We sat near a family of 8, and I swear the parents were Justin and my age. There was a W.T. family celebrating their son's birthday party. Our table was located near the entrance/exit, and I watched the mom of the W.T. family exit and enter multiple times. Well, little did I know, she was a total wine-o who was 'sneaking' out to her convertable car to sneak a swig of alcohol from a brown paper bag. How tacky is THAT? You can't even stay put for your son's birthday party? WHITE TRASH! Lastly, a few families that brought a smile to my face was a gathering of "Duggar-look-alikes." I am a little addicted to the show "18 and Counting" and think the Duggars are pretty interesting. Anyhow, a HUGE group of people clad in long denim skirts, and long permed hair took over the whole pizza place. I was in awe, basically gawking at the group, wishing I could take a picture of them but couldn't get up the guts. The night ended at Joe's Outdoor store where we found some great deals! North Face snow boots for me and a Roxy green beanie! Can't wait for Winter! (THAT was said with a ton of sarcasm. I really can't stand winter, but at least my feet will be warm and my head looking stylish!) 9 years and two sweet boys later! Trey loved this machine. The cutest thing about it was when it sucked up the ticket, it made a "munch-munch" noise. Tian, happy as always. EVEN if there WAS a large, furry mouse walking around our table. And WHERE was Trey when Chuck E. Cheese was making his rounds and stopped at our table: UNDER THE TABLE! Tian didn't mind, he offered a "high five" to the furry rodant. Trey and Justin in a "helicopter"

Trey-the dancin' fool!

Promise, Trey made the first 2 baskets. But, when the camera was rolling, he folded under pressure!

Getting Stronger

6.5.09
I was on my way home from work and was talking with Trey and Justin. As I just about said, "Good-bye" to Justin, he said, "Wait! Tian just pulled himself up on the couch." I needed to see this in person! So, we video taped him 'trying' to pull himself up onto our trunk, with a little help from Justin. Tian is getting stronger by the day.

I think Trey is so cute, trying the help his brother up. This video also demonstrates how Trey would like HIS little time to shine as he shows us the letters he is working on writing!
