No Good Morning?!

10.15.07
As I was getting ready for work, I walked into our bedroom to brush my teeth. I was trying to be so quiet, considering Trey was asleep in our bed (YES, the boy is TWO and he is still ending up in our bed at night! That is for a whole new blog entry I am sure!). As I passed him, he sat straight up, looked at me and said, "Mom, Happy Halloween!!!" WHAT, no "good morning" or "hello mom?" He must have been having a wonderful dream about Halloween because he said it with such enthusiasm, I just couldn't help but laugh!

We LOVE Linder Farms

10.20.07
Our first trip to Linder Farms was without a camera, so we made a second trip for pictures of our family AND for smaller pumpkins! (We brought home three HUGE pumpkins from our first trip, one of which was 78 lbs!)
Trey enjoyed a the hay stack maze once again, and I definitely enjoyed riding the "Cow Train" with him! (I was a bit uncomfortable being squished inside a barrell, sitting on a wooden plank!)
We are so blessed to live so close to farm land. The Treasure Valley is growing at rapid speed, but we are still considered country dwellers! This Farm is beautiful, I love going and look forward to many more years of memories!

MOON BOOTS even Napoleon would be jealous of!

face of a future Napoleon Dynamite?!

Last year around March I was grocery shopping at Wally-World and just so happened to pass by the shoes department. There was a huge rack of clearance shoes, all were $4. Can they even MAKE shoes for $4, I don't know, but I thought I would take a look. As I was looking, a pair caught Trey's eye, and of course we couldn't pass them up! (If anyone knows me and my taste for Trey's shoes, I have sworn off "character" shoes. I think they look cute on any other child, but not my own. It really, REALLY was difficult purchasing these.) They are glorified Moon Boots, straight out of Napoleon Dynamite. So, when you see my boy tromping down the street in his neon blue "Thomas the Tank Engine" boots, don't thank me, thank Wally-World!

Sugar Cookies and Friends!

10.18.07
For Playgroup this week we decorated Halloween Sugar Cookies at Angie and Beni Miller's home. As you can see, Trey enjoyed eating the frosting rather than decorating with it! Megan and Beni on the other hand were quite the artists!

Wendy and I were given a wonderful dance lesson from Miss Angie and her Wii. I usually would not post such an appalling picture of myself, but as you can see, I was concentrating WAY too hard at the confusing dance routine we were attempting! If you look closely at the t.v. screen in the picture of Trey dancing, I failed miserably.

An afternoon with "the cousins"

We are fortunate to live close to 4 (soon to be 5!) of Trey's cousins, which he has named, respectively, "the cousins." On Wednesday the 17th of October, Trey and I got the opportunity to spend a few hours with two of the four cousins while their parents attended the temple. The computer and the little people house were the biggest hit!

"I'm so glad when Grandparents come home, Glad as I can be!!!"

Trey waiting for GiGi and G.Pa's arrival

Here they come!!!

While traveling through Idaho on their way to Bend, Oregon, my grandparents (Grandma and Grandpa Slight)stayed with us for an evening! Trey was so excited to have "GiGi and G.Pa" come and stay with us! He loves receiving kisses from them and showing them all of his tricks!

Kisses from G.Pa

Hugs from GiGi

GiGi and G.Pa served an LDS mission to Nauvoo, Illinois in 2005 and it just so happened that our neighbors, Larry and Margot Moore served with them! We have tried to get together with the Moores before but were never able to make it happen! This trip, it happened! It was so neat to hear them talk about their experiences and who they have kept in touch with since they all have left! It is such a small world we live in!

BSU pride at Church?

How do we show BSU pride at church? Justin wears an orange and blue striped tie, and Trey wears an orange and blue polo shirt from Gramma Bend, THAT'S HOW! Go Broncos!!!

Ahoy Matey!

Justin and Trey playing Pirates! We have a boat for Trey to play on in the backyard. To stage this picture, Justin placed the camera on top of the hot tub cover, set it on "self timer" and must have ran like a crazy man! I love this picture of the two of them!

An afternoon just for two hot mamas and their little boys!

10.16.07
This afternoon we met Sommers and Baby Shaydon at Red Robin for lunch and then headed to the Macy's Clearence Store in the Karcher Mall (everything in the store is 75% off the origional price)! We met at 11:30 for lunch, and I have to say, that is the BEST time to go to Red Robin. People we waiting on us hand and foot! Sommers found a WIRE in her lunch, so her lunch was taken care of! (The manager said it was from one of the scouring pads, WHATEVER, it could have easily perferated her esophagus or bowel! AHHHHHHHHHH!) Sommers of course looks amazing, after having little Shaydon at the end of August, you would NEVER guess she had a child. It is amazing!
The steals we found at Macy's were excellent! Sommers found me a pair of camo swim shorts with a skull on them for Trey-LOVE THEM! I am sure in the summer there will be PLENTY of pictures of Trey in them! Thanks Sommers!
Sommers found some very cute outfits for Shaydon; a church outfit that would look so cute on Shaydon's first day of nursery, and a Hurley henley for the little guy!
Next it was off to look for shoes! Sommers found some WAY CUTE camel UGG-type furry boots for Trey (just kidding! TREY found them, they unfortunately were NOT his size. DARN IT!), and found some wedge shoes that are black with the coolest floral design on the wedge. Hard to explain, maybe she will have to take a picture and post it on HER blog!!!!
Needless to say, the whole afternoon could have happened without me even being there! Trey loves, LOVES Sommers! Some say it could be a crush, I think it is just admiration! He wanted to be with Sommers the whole evening!
4 hours later, we departed to our own homes! Trey fell asleep about 3 minutes after I put him in his carseat. When I woke him up about an hour later, the first thing he said was, "Where's Sommers? I want Sommers!" What is wrong with your mama Trey?! (No hard feelings, I am so happy he loves my friend just as much as I love her!)

Trey's cute booty!

***I had a picture of Trey's cute booty on this post for about 3 hours, and in those hours, I got a call from my mom saying she didn't want some freak looking at pictures of her grandson's booty. So, I promise, I had the cutest black and white picture of Trey standing by the bathtub, booty naked. Just imagine what you want.***

Whenever I am getting him ready for his bath, I always strip him down, and when he is in the buff, I ALWAYS pat his little bum. I know I wont be able to do this for much longer (he is going to become rough and tough and wont want to be touched at all by his mother!!!), and I just can't resist his little cheeks!
Well, on this particular morning, I had taken off his clean but wet diaper and was letting him stand by the tub while it filled up. I just patted his bum like I always do and he quickly turned to me with a strange look on his face. He said, "Mom, don't touch my bum." I said, "Why Trey, your bum is so cute." And his response, "It's poopy, don't touch it!!!" WHAT?! I just about died! It was NOT poopy, and if it was, I would have NOT touched it with bare hands. That silly bird, I don't know WHERE he comes up with such things!

Welcome Home!!!

10.7.07
We finally arrived home from Bend around 7:50 pm without any problem. Trey had fallen asleep about 3 minutes from Gramma and Grandpa's home and slept until Burns, Oregon. (I consider Burns a half-way/rest stop for us!)
When we arrived in our garage, I noticed a sweet note left from Justin!
After exchanging our hugs and kisses, I went into the kitchen to drop something off and I noticed something on our kitchen table. Another sweet note with a box from Molenars! I about started to cry, but instead I screamed! Inside was a beautiful "Pandora" bracelet I had told him about. One of my patients had the bracelet and I fell in love with it. You first buy the "band" and then you buy seperate beads for the bracelet. The bracelet Justin bought me came with the band and three beads. One bead has purple gems, the other one is a heart, and the third is a very pretty bead with roses engraved in it.
I couldn't BELIEVE he remembered and sought out Molenars. I don't think he has ever stepped foot into Molenars, but he did it all just for me! I love him dearly; not just for the thoughtful gifts he gives, but for the life he has shared with me!

'06 and '07 Trey and Delaney Halloween

2007 Halloween

2006 Halloween
Here is the annual Halloween picture we take with Trey and Delaney. 2006 was Delaney's 1st Halloween, 2005 Halloween we were celebrating Delaney, in the womb, at a baby shower in her honor!

Trey and Delaney's playdate

10.7.07
Delaney and Abbey came over before our departure from Bend to say goodbye. Even though we don't see Delaney and Abbey often, Trey and Delaney always play so well with each other. They talk and laugh, they share toys and even bellybuttons (see picture!). After playing with the little people and cars, Grandma Bend took us 4 out to the barn to look at the cows. Trey talks non-stop about "the cows and Gramma's house" but when it comes down to it, he is terrified! I had asked Abbey to dress Delaney in her Halloween shirt so we could get an annual picture of them in their Halloween garb!
