Trey wants to grow up way too fast. This afternoon Trey informed me he was growing a moustache.

Easter 2008
Trey's new easter bucket!
Easter Morning brought excitment for Trey. He had seen an Easter Bunny at the Easter Egg Scramble the morning prior, and he was looking forward to the Easter Bunny dropping by his home.
When he woke up that Easter Morning and saw he was given some Education Kitchen toys from the Easter Bunny, From the look on his face, I don't think he was too thrilled!
His frown shortly turned upside down when he started his morning off with a breakfast of champions: a jelly bunny!
Off to church we went, Trey looked so perfect in his suit, I will charish that suit forever. I absolutely LOVED it!
The afternoon brought a 3 hour nap from Trey (which I thought was a bit ironic. Easter is celebrating the resurrection of Christ 3 days after he died, Trey slept for 3 hours. Both miracles!) and then kite flying. Justin got a kite that is supposed to do tricks, but by the looks of this picture, it looks like the only kite that got off the ground was Trey's $2 Backyardagains kite. Justin's remained on the ground.
Easter Egg Scramble
The local radio station has held an Easter Egg Scramble for over 20 years, and my friend Sonya introduced it to us last year. We had such a great time, we decided to do it again and hopefully it will become a tradition.
This year, we were a little over excited, we decided to get to the park, in nearly 30 degree weather, for the pancacke breakfast at 8am. We were the 4th family to get there, and we froze as we ate our pancakes.
We had about 2 hours before the actual egg scramble was to start, so we played on the parks play structure, and then resorted to our car to warm up for about a half an hour.
There were astro-jumps for the kids to play in and also a clown creating balloon objects. Trey spotted a kid leaving the clown carrying a fishing pole, and that is what HE wanted. He asked the clown himself for a fishing pole, and even tipped the clown afterwards. He was so shy but I was happy he did everything himself. He was a proud as ever carrying that fishing pole around the park, for the short time he got to. (It soon popped!)
Notice how close Trey is standing next to the clown? Yeah, he gets it from me, I am not particularly fond of clowns either.
Once the scramble began, it was crazy. Trey's age group was the 2nd to go, so we didn't have to wait in the cold for very long.
We had a great time, hoping Trey will enjoy these little outings and have fond memories of his crazy parents!

The Best Lunch EVER!
Flat Bread Community Oven
3.20.08
Thanks to my sweet co-worker Shelly, Trey and I took our friends to the cutest little Pizza Joint EVER! Shelly had taken her neice a few weeks earlier, and she said we just had to take Trey. The place lets the kids make their own pizzas. When I heard this, I thought it would be a great place to take them. I made sure to make reservations for the the earliest possible time, and sure enough, we were the only ones in the place. Our waitress Alyssa was so perfect, she took our pictures, let the kids go crazy with their pizzas, and then let us watch the pizzas being made in their "community oven." What an experience!
#1. Pizza dough, sauce and cheese comes out first.
#2. Trey didn't even want to touch the cheese at first, he detests cheese, but then saw his friends kindly spreading it over the sauce, and so then he got the hang of it.
#3. A quick picture thanks to our waitress
#4. One last picture of Angie and Beni, sans their new addition which will be arriving TOMORROW. Doesn't Angie look amazing? Beni's visor was a gift from us, it says, "Big Sis," and I am so sorry Angie, you will probably hate these pictures in the future, thanks to our cheesy visor.
#5. Off to the community oven goes our pizzas where we watch patiently.
#6. 3 minutes later, and our pizza is ready for eating!
After taking a picture of Trey tasting his pizza, he insisted on taking a picture of ME eating his pizza. Not the best picture of ME, but I would say, coming from a 2.5 year old, it is a pretty nice shot!
I had to take a picture of the kids in front of the seat cushions. LOVE the pattern!
After we had enough of pizza, we jaunted over to the greatest candy shop EVER! It is called Powell's Sweet Shoppe, and it is oh so sweet. EVERY type of candy imaginable is in that little shop of theirs. LOVED it, and so did the kids.
And so it is farewell to the Flat Bread Community Pizza, farewell to a pregnant Angie, farewell to Trey's long hair (a haircut came his way right after this lunch outing!), and farewell to our camera.

Prego's at the Melting Pot
3.18.08
Nearly 3.5 years ago, we friends began a tradition of celebrating a new birth by going to fondue. It all started over a Conference Weekend, October 2004 to be exact, when Jessica and Alyce Dribnak, me, Angie Miller, and Amy Baumgartner all went to the Mona Lisa for chocolate fondue while our men went to the Priesthood Session of General Conference. We then met at Jessica and Kip's home afterwards where we had more food, watched Saturday Night Live, where Ashlee Simpson Lip Sung (I remember that VERY clearly because I screamed when I noticed what was going on and I spilled a cup of chocolate milk onto Jessica's VERY clean, white carpet. I just about died. I STILL feel awful about that Jessica. So sorry!) and we chatted until the wee hours of the night. Amy wasn't feeling very well that night, in fact, she didn't even partake in the chocolate fondue and opted for real food instead. WELL, that next day, Gage Baumgartner was born, and so was the birth of our Fondue Tradition. We have gone 5 times since that October of 2004, and we celebrated this evening for Angie! She was going to be induced in a week, with the help of my beloved Dr. Timmy, and we had to send her off with chocolate in her belly and well wishes. We have two more additional chocolate trips in the making, Wendy and Adrienne, and I can't wait for those nights. It is always nice to sit and chat, celebrate the new birth, and regroup as friends. We missed you so much Jessica and our well wishes were with you and your sick family.
Wendy (to pop in April!), Alyce (just back from her Moab race!), Me, Angie (to pop next week with a little boy!) Adrienne (to pop in May) and Amy (with a new 'do and new nails. Way cute and stylish!). Jessica in spirit!
Blast From The Past, October 2004, here we are at our first Fondue Night!
Congrats to AMY!
Amy just hours before Gage was born. Doesn't she look amazing?!
I had to post this picture of Jessica because I love it so much. This Harley must be the owners because it is usually parked out front of the Mona Lisa each time we go, and for our first trip to fondue, Jessica couldn't resist the Harley!
WENDY, it's your turn next!

Joung S. Bledsoe
3.17.08
St. Patrick's Day, and also a sad day for the Bledsoe Family. On 3.10.08, I got a phone call at work from Justin. He had asked if I had heard about the accident this morning that shut down Idaho 55. I said, "No," but that was probably no surprise to him. (I listen to my E! Entertainment on my way to work (usually the True Hollywood Story of some washed up actor!!! Those are the best!), not the local radio stations, but I guess I should have been tuned into our local DJ's that morning.) Justin's aunt Joung was traveling to work at about 6:30am on Idaho 55 when she turned into the path of a semi truck. The Semi Truck struck her car and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Word spread like wildfire throughout the family. Justin had called me at about 10am that same morning of the accident, and the word had already gone through the states of Arizona, Oregon, and Washington before us in Idaho. It was a shock to us all.
Although deaths bring sadness and pain, it can also bring families together, and that is what happened in the Bledsoe Family.
Justin's parents, sister Megan, cousins and aunts all came in for the funeral. I had only met Joung once as well as her sons, and this was a perfect opportunity to get to know them. I also met Joung's family, who flew in from Korea, what sweet, hospitable people they were. We got to enjoy some Korean food and "visit" with them. They didn't speak much English, but their children did, and so they helped us communicate. The Korean family members were mesmorized by Trey's blonde hair and blue, blue eyes. One of Joung's brother-in-laws asked if he could pick up Trey. I said, "Sure," not really knowing what Trey would do. The man picked up Trey, hugged him and smothered him with kisses. I thought it was so sweet, I don't think TREY did, but I reassured him the man was nice. Very sweet people.
Joung's funeral was held in a huge church, in the middle of the country. There was a large water fountain with river rock in the foyer, where we spent most of the 45 minutes of waiting for the funeral to begin. Trey kept throwing rocks behind our backs.
A preview of Trey's Easter Suit, nice to be able to wear it to more then one event. This picture was taken in front of the waterfall with Trey's "surfer hair." His hair will be cut before Easter, I promise!
There were so many Korean pastors and reverands, I had no idea what a large Korean population we have here in Idaho. By the end of the service, Trey was OUT!
After the funeral service, there was a nice reception with great food, sushi, cream puffs, veggie trays, etc. It was a nice time to mingle with family we haven't seen in years, and introduce Trey to many people he has never met. Doesn't he look thrilled? I think he is mourning, or still tired. Who knows.

Coloring Eggs
3.16.08
Justin's parents and sister Megan were in town and we thought there was no better way to get into the Easter spirit then to color Easter Eggs. It was a first time for Trey, and what memories we made. He enjoyed sharing the experience with his cousins, aunt and grandparents.
Trey's creation, BEFORE he destroyed it! (see next picture!)
Trey enjoyed squishing the eggs between his fingers rather then coloring them!
Grandma Marie and Aunt Megan helping the girl cousins
Grandpa Larry, coloring an egg very close to the color of his shirt. It turned out beautiful!

Playdate at Carl's Jr.
3.14.08
Sommers planned a Playdate with the Blad's at Carl's Jr. We had done this once before Christmas, and it was due time for another date. We go at the most perfect time, 10am, no one is at Carl's Jr. and we can let the kids go nuts, which they do.
Trey was VERY excited, they were serving kids meals with a Bee Movie toy. He loves that movie!
It was a day off for Scott, Sommers husband, so he joined us crazy mom's and kept his eye on all of the kids while we chatted. Thanks Scott! (He starts a new job on Monday, we wish him luck!)
This is Scott making Shaydon laugh. He is one of the best dads!(next to Justin of course!!!)
Before the crowds got too huge in the playground, we had to take a picture of the gang. This was the best one I could get of all five. Notice Baby Shaydon's shirt, a Skull and Cross Bones. LOVE IT!
Andrew, Jackson (looking down), Trey, Shaydon, and McCall. The look on Shaydon's face is probably due to Trey squeezing him too tight. He can't get enough of his little friend!
After the chaos at Carl's Jr., we went shopping for Easter Outfits and then as a treat, smoothies! Trey was a trooper, and he sure loved his Smoothie!
