Prego's at the Melting Pot

3.18.08
Nearly 3.5 years ago, we friends began a tradition of celebrating a new birth by going to fondue. It all started over a Conference Weekend, October 2004 to be exact, when Jessica and Alyce Dribnak, me, Angie Miller, and Amy Baumgartner all went to the Mona Lisa for chocolate fondue while our men went to the Priesthood Session of General Conference. We then met at Jessica and Kip's home afterwards where we had more food, watched Saturday Night Live, where Ashlee Simpson Lip Sung (I remember that VERY clearly because I screamed when I noticed what was going on and I spilled a cup of chocolate milk onto Jessica's VERY clean, white carpet. I just about died. I STILL feel awful about that Jessica. So sorry!) and we chatted until the wee hours of the night. Amy wasn't feeling very well that night, in fact, she didn't even partake in the chocolate fondue and opted for real food instead. WELL, that next day, Gage Baumgartner was born, and so was the birth of our Fondue Tradition. We have gone 5 times since that October of 2004, and we celebrated this evening for Angie! She was going to be induced in a week, with the help of my beloved Dr. Timmy, and we had to send her off with chocolate in her belly and well wishes. We have two more additional chocolate trips in the making, Wendy and Adrienne, and I can't wait for those nights. It is always nice to sit and chat, celebrate the new birth, and regroup as friends. We missed you so much Jessica and our well wishes were with you and your sick family.

Wendy (to pop in April!), Alyce (just back from her Moab race!), Me, Angie (to pop next week with a little boy!) Adrienne (to pop in May) and Amy (with a new 'do and new nails. Way cute and stylish!). Jessica in spirit!

Blast From The Past, October 2004, here we are at our first Fondue Night!
Congrats to AMY!

Amy just hours before Gage was born. Doesn't she look amazing?!

I had to post this picture of Jessica because I love it so much. This Harley must be the owners because it is usually parked out front of the Mona Lisa each time we go, and for our first trip to fondue, Jessica couldn't resist the Harley!

WENDY, it's your turn next!
