Justin, like Trey, is a die hard Fair Fan! He would go every evening if allowed, and would take both boys if he could, which he did while I was at Activity Days. What kind of Dad takes both of their boys to the HOT and crazy Fair? An extraordinary dad. And that is who we have in this house! Thanks Justin!
(these were pictures taken by Justin!)
Justin took them to a magic show
LOOK who they ran into at the Fair. Taylor and Tanner! Tanner is sitting in front of Trey and Taylor! We miss the Toll's!

Thank you Just for taking the boys to the Fair!

As Trey rode the rides....
8.22.09
We learned from our mistakes last year. One mistake was paying out the NOSE for two evenings at the Fair for kiddie rides. This year, we bought Trey an unlimited pass for rides.
Another mistake we learned, making sure Trey stood up nice and tall for the carni-workers. He was standing with his heels a few inches in front of the measuring stick and leaning back on the ruler. This year, I made sure his heels were right up against the ruler to show he truly IS 42". Trey was kicked off of 2 rides before realizing the way Trey was standing was making him shorter.
(hoping the carni-workers wont kick him off of THIS ride!)
Thumbs up Daddy!
Looks like Trey is having the time of his life. The lady behind him: NOT having the time of her life!
Towards the end of the evening, we could tell Trey was getting a bit tired. He wasn't acting as enthused about the rides, although he was begging for more.
(starting to wear down just a tad!)
I thought these two pictures of Trey was a great expression of just how drastic Trey's attitude and enthusiasm changed from the beginning of the evening, to the end. Mind you, Trey, Justin and Tian had gone to the Fair while I was at Activity Days swimming (more on that to come!). Trey had ridden rides all day long!
BEFORE
(All smiles, can't wait to aboard another ride)
AFTER
(so exhausted, can't even smile!)
Like the Jersey? It was bought at the Fair. Something Trey has wanted, year after year, seeing the little shop at the Fair. Finally, this year we broke down and purchased one. He wore it WITH the tags on prior to us finding someone to snip the tags off. Trey and Tian WERE in matching muscle shirts(the green one Tian is wearing in these Fair pictures), oh so cute, but Trey broke out on his own and donned the Blue and Orange.

Milking Miss Ada
8.22.09
In the petting zoo, there is always a cow to be milked. Trey has been a little nervous every year, but this year, he asked US if he could milk the cow. Justin had never done it either, so, both of my "men" milked Ada, the cow!

Poor Ada, prior to being Man-Handled by my two men!
Trey taking his turn at milking the poor beast!
Justin taking a stab at the farmer's life
I am sure he is mortified that I took a picture of him with his sticker, but it WAS a first for him!
Trey, prouder then ever, accomplishing once again, the cow milking at the Fair. After this picture was taken, he immediately took off his sticker that said, "I Milked a Cow" and rolled it into a telescope; something he does with all stickers. Last year, he SLEPT with his sticker on his pj's!(sweet Ada the Cow in the background.)
Daddy/Daughter Swim Activity
8.22.09
As the boys were at the Fair, I was at a Daddy/Daughter Activity for Activity Days. We were so happy that many fathers came to support their daughters in Activity Days and swam. We had cannon ball contests, hand stand contests, we slid down the slide (I did multiple times JUST to cool off) and ate yummy treats (the girls were asked to bring treats to the activity.). I think this will be one of our traditions for Activity Days!
Not the most flattering picture of myself, but really, is there ANY flattering picture when one is in a bathing suit?Lauren
Morgan, Alyssa, Adrianna, Abigail
Bless the poor prego lady's heart. I swear, she was about to burst. Janae and I were betting on how many babies she HAD in there! Looks like more then one to me!

Trey at the Fair's Petting Zoo
8.22.09
Last year, this was one of Trey's favorite AND most hated areas of the fair. Yes, he loved the animals and got a kick out of feeding them, but hated the noise the animals made. This year, the winds of change blew in our direction. Trey loved the petting zoo and didn't seem to mind the noise at all. We could barely keep our eye on him!

Tea Party for some pretty special ladies
8.20.09
Two of these lucky ladies was squeezed, smashed and violated (okay, I wouldn't go THAT far) by me for two years in a row for their annual exams. As a tradition, we always have a "tea" party with lots of laughter. How lucky am I?!
The Monte Cristo Sandwich is so amazingly delicious! I dream about it!

Honoring Amy and Dane
8.19.09
A tradition which started in October 2004 is still going strong at one of our favorite fondue restaurants. This nights celebration was in honor of our friend Amy and her little guy Dane. Dane couldn't wait for his fondue evening (he was born the night we had reservations for fondue) so tonight was his mom's night. I might be off on my calculations but we have celebrated nearly 8 births with fondue. We say that a baby will be born within a week of our fondue night, and to date, it has been SO accurate! (most births happening the following day. SERIOUSLY!)
Congrats Amy on your sweet little bundle of joy! He is too stinkin' cute, and as always, you look amazing!
