I have been Tagged!

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago: I was just getting off of a holiday trip to Hawaii for Christmas! I was dreading the school work I would be coming back to and worried about Jet Lag.

Things on my to-do list today: 1. Call patients to schedule their Additional View Mammograms (I HATE making those phone calls because they automatically think they have Breast Cancer. Hate it!) 2. Play with Trey in the snow when I get home from work! (I bribed him so we could get out the door and off to Miss Michelle's home!) 3. Try a new recipe that is cooking in the crock pot as we speak! (I hope our home isn't burning down!) 4. Try to plan a family vacation, hopefully tropical and warm!

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: I would move our family to Bend so we could be closer to Justin and my family! Send my parents on a wonderful vacation for their 30th wedding anniversary

3 of my bad habits: 1. Leaving the mail for Justin to open when he gets home from work 2. Talking on my cell phone while I drive 3. I am a little too sensitive at times

3 places I have lived: 1. Bend, Oregon 2.Rexburg, Idaho 3. West Linn, Oregon

5 jobs that I have had: 1. Tanning Salon 2. Redmond Air Center-dispatcher for the Smoke Jumpers! 3. Aid for the Art Department for Ricks College (and if you REALLY want to know what kind of "AID" I was, let me know! All I can say was that it paid for Justin's Wedding ring, and I wouldn't be caught DEAD doing it ever again!) 4. Optometrist assistant 5. Diagnostic radiographer/Mammographer/Dexa bone density

5 Things people don't know about me: 1. We have taken two trips to Sun Valley, and my main reason for wanting to go was to "Star/Celebrity Search." I know, pathetic! 2. I worked a graveyard shift this Sunday/Monday just so I could get some of my life in order AND so I would have a day off during the week with my guys! I had NO patients!!! 3. I love to wash laundry and iron clothes. 4. I HATE folding laundry and hanging clothes up (which doesn't really go along with the whole laundry love huh?!) 5. Some may know this, but I once barfed while teaching the 4 year olds in Primary. Thankfully, I was in our classroom, and thankfully, there was a trash can in our room! Up until that day, there was NEVER a trash can!

I tag: 1. Becca 2. Kristen 3. Sommers

Welcome Baby Ava

Welcome Baby Ava!
Born 1.25.08
5 lbs 15 oz
19 inches long!

Mr. Magorium

1.25.08

We had the opportunity to watch our neice Tacy for the evening while their family was enjoying a cultural event (a magic show!)! We were planning on taking the kids bowling, but it was "League Nite" everywhere we called! So, the next best thing was to take them to a movie! Off to Mr. Magoriums Magic Toy Imporium!

On the way to the theater, Tacy and Trey held hands across their car seats!

Tacy fell asleep through the movie, Trey seemed to enjoy it! Although, the only part that really caught his interest was the moment Mr. Magorium was sent to the hospital! Silly guy, what a strange facination he has with Hospitals!

***Little did he know the next day we would be visiting our friends the Brown's in the Hospital! Welcome Baby Ava!***

Mr. Manicure

1.24.08
As if dipping your hands and face in chocolate pudding wasn't crazy enough, Trey decided to give himself a manicure! Reminds me of Jessica's daughter Kenna and all of her "Salon Specialties!" (check out her cute girls under my friends "Jessica and Kip!")

Chocolate Man

1.24.08

What is better than a bowl of chocolate pudding after a cold outing outside in the snow!

Cold Hands

1.24.08
I have been wanting to get Trey out in the snow for a few days, and so this afternoon was the day! First, we went out, with gloves on, and played on the swings, slide, and in the snow. Then, just as Trey was wanting to go inside, I asked him if I could get pictures of him to show his Grandma's. He said, "yes" but he didn't want to wear his gloves!
What was the first thing he does without his gloves? Grabs a huge handful of snow and tries to throw it at me!

These pictures depict the sequence of the next events!

Trying to hide from the camera

Trey notices he is getting a little cold

AHHHHHH, he is screaming to get inside because his hands are cold.

Inside, safe and warm!

Lunch and Boondocks

1.23.08
I have told Abbey for years about the fun kid-friendly places Boise has to offer, so we had to take her to Boondocks!

We first had lunch, Corn Dogs for the kids, Salad wrap for me and a sandwich for Abbey! (Abbey would NOT recommend it!)

Next, it was off to the Kiddie Area, and they were the ONLY kids! How nice it was!

I don't know if this picture gives the height justice, but it is amazing how high this play structure really is!

The toys and games were too exciting, so Abbey was sweet and bought both kids rides and games!

Delaney in Spidey's truck

Trey in truck, his favorite

Trey and Delaney in Truck

Delaney beat out Trey in the ticket category, amazing how many tickets she won!

We got some really cute pictures of the two of them in a photo booth, I will have to figure out how to post them!

After lunch and Boondocks, we met up with Chelsea Ann Stevens for Chocolate Fondue, pedicures, and laughs. Oh my goodness, I don't think I have laughed so hard in a very long time! Chatting about old times, high school memories, dances, football games, slumber parties, we had a lot to catch up on! (Not like we all don't talk on the phone frequently! It is different when we are all together!) It has been years since we have all been together for an evening, this was a wonderful night!

Delaney and Abbey come to Town!

Abbey and Delaney come

WE have been awaiting Abbey and Delaney's arrival for several months, and the day finally arrived! They arrived around 2 in the afternoon, and it was playtime from the moment they stepped foot into Nampa!

Trey and Delaney were inseperable from the beginning. They only see eachother a few times a year, but when they do get together, it is as if time has never escaped them!

Yes, Abbey and I are crazy, but we planned on them wearing the same PJ's the night before so we could get a picture of them "matching!" I don't know who got who hooked on skull and cross bones, but Abbey, being the PJ queen, found some skull and cross bones PINK PJ's for Delaney, and knowing Trey already had a blue matching pair, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture of them matching!

1st Geocache of 2008

1.19.08
It has been a year since we began Geocaching, and we have taken a little break from it! We decided to take an adventure this afternoon and started Geocaching again!

Trey and I stayed in the car while Justin hunted for the Cache, which was near a large canal! (I wasn't about to take Trey NEAR that canal!) There was the most beautiful sunset, so I grabbed Trey out of his car seat and ran outside to snag a picture. Unfortunately, you can't see the sunset, but it is a cute picture of Trey!

This is how I Study

This is how I study for my Gospel Doctrine lesson!

Trey isn't the best at entertaining himself, this is how the afternoons are usually! Trey laying across the kitchen table, with toys laid all around us! I know that I am growing spiritually, I just hope I will be able to remember everything I am learning to teach Trey in the future!

Jaime's Baby Shower

1.19.08
Cute pictures from Jaime's shower!

Jaime in her cute crown, "Mother-of-honor!"

This was the cutest table center piece! I had to look at this cake twice, I SERIOUSLY thought it was a real cake! NO, it was made out of diapers! The cutest thing EVER!

Ava's Gifts

1.19.08
Jaime Brown is having a baby in about a month and had her work baby shower today! What a great turnout she had! The food was delicious, and the company was excellent!

I had made a pail for Trey's Halloween bucket, and thought I could make one for Baby Ava. She could use it for Halloween, Easter, or just to put socks or burp rags in!

Ava's pail

Thanks to friends in my ward who have girls, they let me in on the new craft! Headbands for babies made out of woman's tights!
If I had a girl, she would be wearing these constantly!!!!

Something to lose your Apetite

As we were traveling to dinner before our movie, I saw something that almost made me puke, and I just HAD to get a picture of it!

We were traveling on a VERY busy road, during rush hour traffic, and look what I saw on the corner, waiting for a bus, smoking!

Dinner @ Rockies and the Bee Movie

1.18.08
We have driven past this diner hundreds of times and I have always wanted to check it out, and this evening just so happened to be the most perfect opportunity! I had heard it was kid friendly and a place Trey would love, boy, did he LOVE it!
When we entered the diner, we were greeted by a waitress on roller skates who took us down this ramp into our own little corner booth! There was a DJ in a booth busting out "oldies but goodies music," and to complete the atmosphere, there was a huge motorcycle standing on top of a table, and guitars hanging from the ceiling! I was amazed, and Trey was in heaven!
We had some delicious fried food and a real old fashioned chocolate soda!
This is a place we will definitely return to!!!

If you look behind us, you can see the guitars and the motorcycle!

After dinner, we went and saw the "Bee Movie" at one of our favorite theaters! Talk about old school, this theater comes complete with the drape covering the movie screen, and when you purchase your movie ticket for $3.50, you get $3.50 worth of snacks! I love it! The best part about their snacks, they have carmel corn!!! Trey really enjoyed the movie, he has been wanting to watch it for months, I think he was excited to finally see it!

Thanks Abbey for the PJ's

My friend Abbey from Bend has gotten me hooked on PJ's! For any holiday or birthday, she always sends Trey the cutest PJ's! This is one of the two pairs she sent for Christmas! Thanks Abbey!!!

"I Want A Dog!"

When I was 7, I really, REALLY wanted a dog! Our friend Laura (who gives the greatest Christmas gifts, and is our "adopted" family member!) had two dogs and saw my interest in dogs as something that needed to be addressed! My parents really didn't want a dog at the moment, and I think Laura was feeling bad for me! So, for either my birthday or Christmas, she gave me this book, "I Want a Dog!"

Just recently, my mom gave me back my book, and it has turned into one of Trey's favorite books! I just had to take a picture of my two guys reading it! That book brings back so many memories!

Dreams of Baseball

Instead of asking for his blanket or a cup of milk, this evening Trey asked for his baseball mit! This picture was taken with our "night vision" setting, he is really sleeping with his mit! Crazy man!!!

Running with Scissors

1.17.08
While at WINCO I either made the dumbest purchase, or the wisest purchase; I have yet to figure it out!
Trey wants to cut with "grown-up" scissors so badly, I always catch him sneaking them out of our scissor drawer, and then I have to chase, CHASE him around the house to grab them from his chubby grasp!
So, I thought buying him a pair of his own scissors, I can teach him how to hold the scissors correctly, cut paper, and most importantly, WALK while holding the scissors PROPERLY!

Look at that proud expression on his little face! Needless to say, there hasn't been any running with scissors since he has had his own orange scissors (the color was VERY important to him!) and his cutting skills are smokin'!
