Playgroup

11.6.08
Playgroup was at our home and I thought of a "Thanksgiving" project. I had the kids look through magazines and find what they were thankful for. Us mommy's cut out the pictures and the kids helped us either glue or tape the pictures onto a sheet of paper. The paper said at the top: "What Trey (or Beni, or Megan) is THANKFUL for...". Funny to see what they were thankful for. Trey found a picture of Bear Candy's (Gummy Bear Vitamins we get from Costco!), Megan found diaper rash ointment (among other important things!) and Beni was all about Princesses! After the collages were complete, we had the kids stand up and talk about their collages. When they were through explaining each picture, they asked if anyone had any questions!

I had prompted Trey to chose a picture of a mom and dad (both oriental looking!) holding a baby and to stick it on his collage. When Trey got up to tell about his pictures, he 1st pointed to the oriental parents and said, "I'm thankful for my parents!" I thought for sure he was going to say he was thankful for Tian!

Next, we were off on a ride around our neighborhood on a scavenger hunt. We each grabbed our stroller and cruised around looking for odds and ends!

There had to be a picture of Beck in this post. Here is Beck, perfecting his Playgirl Pose at Playgroup!

Thanks girlfriends for coming and spending the morning with your boyfriend Trey-man!

Tian @ 7 Weeks

11.4.08
Tian is growing up so quickly! He is full of smiles (when he isn't cranky; look at the blog entry following this one!) and coos! He continues to spit up quite frequently, poor little guy. (nothing to be concerned about!) He loves his diaper changed and smiles the entire time-completely opposite from his view of diaper changes 7 weeks ago. He tracks the mobile on his swing constantly and seems to sooth himself quite easily. (What a change from Trey!) He still loves the sound of rushing water and loves to be tickled! We love this little T-Bird!

Cranky Rocker

So sad, what a cranky rocker! I guess every rockstar has a bad day once in a while!

Schools?

I have a friend who is thinking about moving to the Boise area. She has a 1st grader and is wondering what I think of the schools. I told her I could point her in the right direction for the best doctors (OBGYN-Timmy, HANDS DOWN!!!! LOVE THAT MAN!), Dentist (Scott Carter, he is the greatest!) and Eye Doctor (So sad, I have a new one and can't remember his name. How awful!). But when it comes to schools, I don't have a clue.

So, I am shouting out to all of my mommy-friends with kids in elementary school. I am posing the questions: What do you think of Nampa/Meridian/Boise schools. What are the pros, the cons, and which ones are the best. if you don't mind posting a little comment so my friend can read your replys, that would be FANTASTIC!

I know I can count on you guys! Thanks!

Tian @ 7 weeks

Tian has gotten so much more expressive and active. He has ALSO gotten quite the reflux and has become more fussy in the evening! We have loved getting to know our little "T" and can't imagine our lives without him.

PS: I have a few little nicknames for him. We will see if they stick! Model "T," "Mr. T" and plain old "Ti."

This is one of my favorite outfits for Ti. I got this beenie with a bill from etsy and the little white hoodie is from one of my bestest friends Abbey. I have GOT to get a better picture of it because it is so stinkin' cute; I would put TREY in it if it fit him!!! It has black headphones (like DJ's use when they are using the turn-table in a club, mixing up the tracks!) printed as if they were hanging around his neck. Tian always has his arms and hands up close to his face, so he is ALWAYS hiding the cute headphones. I LOVE it! Thank you Abbey for knowing me ALL too well!

Shopping with Sommers

11.4.08
I love shopping with my greatest friend Sommers! Thank you for showing us Forever 21, helping me decide what to wear for Tian's blessing (what a fun day it will be!), and for letting Justin invade our adventure! It is always so sweet to spend an afternoon with you and Mr. Shaydon! Love you Sommers!

In Macy's, there is a huge red mailbox labeled "Santa's Mail." Trey about screamed when I told him what it was for. He has honestly been asking about Santa and Christmas since September 20, 2008. He can't wait to put his wishlist in it. For every wishlist placed in the mailbox, Macy's will donate $1 to Make-a-Wish foundation. What an excellent fundraiser!

We were shopping with Sommers at Forever 21, and Trey put on these glasses, turned to me and said, "I look like a rockstar."

Grandma Joy meets Tian

11.3.08
Tian met Grandma Joy for the first time at Tacy's birthday party. She looked great; a new hair do and fairly stable on her feet. Bless her heart, she probably wont remember Tian the next time she sees him, but she was pretty anxious to meet him nonetheless. She is so thin, and Tian looks like such a chunk. I was awfully afraid he might be too heavy for her, but she seemed to enjoy his company.

Happy 4th Tacy

11.3.08
Tacy Jane turned 4 years old, and we were honored to spend the evening at a family birthday party for her. She is so sweet and a great friend to Trey. We are so lucky to live close! We love you Tacy!

HOOD-lum!

11.3.08
Thank you Miss Jaime for Tian's Hoodie! We love it!!!

SKYPE!

11.2.08
I was told about Skype several months ago by a patient who had grandchildren out of the country. She kept in contact with her grandchildren by talking to them through a webcam using an internet site called "SKYPE." I thought it sounded great but didn't give it a second thought; UNTIL I went over 300 minutes on my cell phone plan and had to pay $250+ extra in the month of September. (I will NOT tell you how many minutes I HAVE on my plan, but it is so embarrassing I could possibly go OVER all the minutes I have. What can I say; I was making arrangements for Tian's birth!) Justin is a complete saint for putting up with my chatting, but we had to think of a better way to communicate with the one person I speak to multiple times a day: my mom.

So, I thought back to my patient and the SKYPE internet site. We tried it out, and now we think it is the greatest thing out there. We purchased a webcam, so did my mom, and now she can not only talk to Trey and Tian, but she can watch them grow, read them bedtime stories, and babysit them if I need to run an errand (JUST KIDDING!!! She lives in Central Oregon!) Here is our first attempt at SKYPE! It was such an exciting day!

Reading Trey a bedtime story. It is becoming quite the tradition!

Hide and Seek

11.2.08
It is so fun to watch Trey play with Tian. Trey wanted to play Hide-and-Seek with Tian!

It looks like Tian is so surprised to be found!

After playing, Trey got the giggles so bad, I couldn't help but laugh, and snap some pictures of course!

Due to Halloween and the candy Trey received, he permanently has a chocolate goate smeared under his bottom lip! Nice!

Sunday visit by the Stevens

11.2.08
The Steven's dropped by our home Sunday afternoon, and brought yummy pumpkin cookies! I think I ate most of them!!!

Tian LOVES Chelsea Ann and Shane, as you can tell in these pictures of Tian totally smiling at Shane. He knows great people when he meets them! They have been such good friends to us, thanks guys!

Unfortunately this week Tian has been spitting up quite a bit. Tian puked all over Chelsea, and just about drenched Shane. I felt horrible! Thankfully we have plenty of burp rags!

I call this burp rag the "Vote on November 11th/Patriotic theme!"

Sunday 11/2/08

11.2.08
Tian's 2nd Sunday to attend church.

Dinner w/ the Chesley's

11.1.08
For as long as we have known the Chesley's (8 years!), the 4 of us have never been to dinner together! We met at the Outback and enjoyed an evening among friends! We took Tian, but Trey went to his cousins home. Thanks James and Tina for watching Trey!
