big boy Tian

wishbone

1.9.09
For as long as I can remember, it has always been a tradition for me and my dad to break the "wish bone" from Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. This last Christmas, we forgot our Tradition. Weeks later, look what I found in the mail:

A little note hung from the wish bone that read,"It is now for you and Trey!"
This made me choke up just a tad.

Who won this little wish bone battle? Trey or Me? It was me, but we will blame it on my bursting muscles and Trey's inexperience. In due time, he will win! (and maybe THEN I wont hear him crying about ME WINNING!)

picasso in the making

We kept the easel out from playgroup and let Trey go to town. He isn't a bit color-er, and really don't enjoy drawing. This afternoon, as I was feeding Tian, I told Trey to draw me! Here is his creation! (Check out my snaggle teeth! They are endless!) Too CUTE!

We had Megan come to our house for playgroup this week. With the fresh fallen snow, the Trey and Megan enjoyed stomping around in the snow, playing on the play structure, and playing "dress up" in Trey's clothes! (Just kidding! Wendy wasn't expecting Megan to go out into the snow! She didn't seem to mind wearing Trey's clothes. She looked so stinkin' cute!)
Thanks for coming to our home Warricks!

lion

1.7.09
For Trey's first Halloween, he was a Lion. I loved everything about this costume. I was with my mom in Bend when I saw it at the Children's Place and JUST fell in love with it. I thought the mane was so bushy and sweet, the "shoes" which look like paws were to die for, and the stuffing in the tummy was so squishy and cuddly. Obviously, I snatched that costume up and LOVED dressing Trey in it.

Now, 3 years and 3 months have passed and I am putting Tian in it, IN the month of January! Tian looked just as cute.

While dressing Tian up and taking pictures of him, I noticed a few differences between our two boys. Tian is much more shy, and I don't think he will be the attention seeker Trey has been. When Trey wore this costume, he just smiled as if to say, "Look at me. ROAR!" Tian was a bit more timid and shy, as if to say, "What the heck did you put me in Mom?

"

"heaven"

1.7.09
Trey has been really interested in the Heaven and Earth, Dying and Living concepts. He has asked several times why we can't see Heaven, and why we can't see Heavenly Father and Jesus.

As we were getting ready for dinner, Trey was looking out our kitchen window. All of the sudden Trey yelled, "I see Heaven Mom!" And this is what Trey saw:

He thought the sunset could be Heaven. Looks pretty enough to be Heaven!

***This post really shows how behind I am. We haven't had this much snow in a long time, but better late then never!***

Justin should enter one of his snow creations in the McCall Winter Carnival. He is quite the builder when it comes to snow, and Trey loves the creations he builds. Tonight, it was a plane.

Tian's Toys

1.8.09
It has been entertaining watching Tian explore new toys. How fast time flies by. One month, Tian just laid there. The next month, he wanting to play with toys.

How sweet is this? I have enjoyed watching my two boys grow fonder and fonder of each other. I hope they stay this way! (wishful thinking huh?!)
