Anniversary Dinner

5.19.09
Because our 9 year anniversary fell on a Wednesday, I knew we wouldn't be able to snag Amanda, our babysitter extraordinaire! So, I surprised Justin with a nice dinner for the two of us at Brick 29 (in an old Masonic Temple downtown "N" town!) the day before our anniversary! We went at 6pm and enjoyed a perfect, QUIET dinner for the two of us! I had Salmon over asparagus and mashed potatoes. To DIE FOR I tell you!

After our dinner, in lieu of memories, we stopped at Arctic Circle and had an ice cream cone. In Rexburg while we were dating, we would get an ice cream cone and sit in Justin's car "Moby" (it was a big white blazer that his FHE-family home evening sisters nicknamed).

Thank you Amanda for watching our little guys! Tian was asleep in bed and Trey was watching a movie Amanda had brought for him we arrived home. Amanda is one of the greatest and we are SOOOOOOO lucky to have her in our lives! Never grow old Amanda. Never go to college OR get married, you hear?! We will miss you terribly!

9 Years of Marriage Bliss

5.20.09
9 years ago today I married the sweetest man on earth. We met in Chemistry Lab at Ricks (now known as BYU-Idaho, but in my book, it will ALWAYS be called Ricks!), and 18 months later, we were married in the Portland, Oregon Temple. It was the greatest day of my life!

While talking to my Grandma about our anniversary, I mentioned I couldn't believe it had already been 9 years. It seems like just yesterday we were married, and now, two children, two degrees, a home and many memories later, 9 years has past. My Grandma said, "You have a lot to show for 9 years. You both have accomplished so much." So true, but most of what I have accomplished I couldn't have done without Justin!

I love you Just, and am so grateful for your friendship, your love, and the sacrifices you have made for our behalf!

Girl's Nite with Sommers

5.22.09
I look forward to Girl's Nite with Sommers for weeks. We hadn't gotten together in 3 or 4 months and we were hurting for a nite to ourselves, doing whatever we may please. It was Sommers turn to choose our activity, and tonight was dinner at a great Hawaiin Restaurant and "couponing." Sommers and I got into couponing about the same time, and have always wanted to go together.

This week, Albertson's (or as Sommers calls it: Albies! She is SO in the know!) was accepting 3 doubling coupons, it was our job to FIND those double coupons! After traveling to three Albies (or was it four, I can't remember!) we found 9 doubling coupons and went crazy! My greatest spend: two bottles of salad dressing and one bottle of baby powder for $2.50. I spent over $9.00! I finally saved more then I spent!!! YAY! (AND, for those of you "couponing" junkies who are going to Albies and stealing all of the doubling coupons; SHAME ON YOU! Thanks to your thoughtless acts, Albies are either running out of their doubling coupons, or hiding them behind the Customer Service desk. Shame, shame!)

Thank you so much Sommers for planning such a fun-filled night. We giggled about "Muffin Tops", WT customers, "Runner Addicts" (we will NEVER get addicted will we!), Judge Judy (You better tell me when the show airs! I can't wait. Maybe we will watch it for the next Girl's Nite!!! I will bring the popcorn!), baby carrots vs. big carrots, slivers of TP (ask me Sommers if you don't remember THIS topic!), and many more to count!

I love you Sommers and enjoy our Girl's Nites!

Sommers is so beautiful! I am so lucky to have such a creative, sweet and caring friend! Thanks for the girl's nite Sommers!
Isn't my dinner beautiful? It was also so yummy!
