Kathrine Albertson Park

10.18.08
We try to get a family picture in Kathrine Albertson Park annually, around this time of year. We arrived at the park and was amazed at all the crowds. Everyone is trying to get their family picture taken before the leaves fall to the ground.

We got to the park about an hour too late, the lighting was horrible, and we ran out of time. WHAT were we thinking? NONE of the pictures of the whole family turned out. NOTHING could beat the pictures we had taken 5 weeks ago with Laura Farris. She was amazing and none of the pictures we took could even come close to the ones we had done with her. So, here are the pictures we took that actually turned out; all of which are of Trey. (I will NOT post the pictures of us as a family. I look like a complete "Two-Ton-Tessi!")

I am posting this picture for my friend Angie's eyes only! Think of Trey as Uncle Kip in our favorite movie Napoleon Dynamite. He is imagining flying sea horses, floating through the air! I hope you enjoy this picture Angie!

Shaving w/Daddy

10.18.08
Trey is always so interested in Justin's razor. I find him often with the razor in his hand, and I have said many prayers in Trey's behalf. (I have images of Trey grabbing the razor and trying to shave his face, the whole experimenting turns into a bloddy mess!) So, this afternoon, Justin pretended to shave Trey's face. Trey loved it!

Chelsea Ann-the Baby Whisperer

10.19.08
After Stake Conference, Chelsea Ann called and asked if she could stop by. She is so sweet, she brought a decorative pillow that matches Tian's bedding! She is always thinking of others.
As she was visiting, Tian got a little fussy. She placed him, on his stomach, onto her legs, and he LOVED it! He fell right asleep! She just has a nack with little Tian.
I love you Chelsea. Thank you for always thinking of me and for being my friend!

Trey and the birds!

10.18.08
Trey wants to do everything Daddy does; including helping Justin clean up after a bird hunting trip. And when I say "clean up," I mean, clean up the birds! Makes me want to puke, but Trey enjoys "helping" Justin. I took this picture by just sticking my hand out into the garage door. Sick!

Angie's Visit

10.18.08
My gorg (short for GORGEOUS!) friend Angie came to visit Tian. We have had playgroup and she has visited with Tian, but she has never had "her" time with Tian! Thanks for our visit Angie, and thanks for taking time out of your busy Saturday to see us!

These pictures are so sweet, but I have to admit, Angie was a bit nervous feeding Tian a bottle. HILARIOUS! I guess when you are not used to a bottle-fed baby, it could be a little strange!!!

Church Orchard

10.18.08
We are blessed to have the only functioning church orchard about a half hour from our home. Today the apples were ready for picking. Trey enjoyed the orchard last year and I couldn't wait to get out there again. We were only out for about 45 minutes but we gathered a ton of apples for the church, and some for us to make applesauce with!

Trey helping me make applesauce

*smiles*

10.17.08
How sweet is this? Tian is greeting Justin from a hard day of work with some serious smiles!

Happy Halloweiners

10.17.08
Anything to get him to try a food. Trey has never wanted to try a hotdog until today when we made Halloweiners. It probably helped that he assisted me in the production of the Weiners, and that they had SNAKES wrapped around them! I got the recipe from Miss Michelle. The snakes are a Rhodes Roll, the hotdogs are just extra long Turkey Franks, the eyes are raisins, and there was supposed to be a liccorice tongue, but what kid needs extra sugar. DEFINITELY not mine!

I couldn't help but take a picture of him and this guitar shirt. Earlier in the day, he was pretending to play the guitar ON HIS SHIRT, and dance around the house. Quite the imagination this little man has!

Trey at @ 3 and 1/3

10.16.08
Trey insisted on getting his picture taken after I took Tian's picture. Why not, this could be our little monthly tradition. (Not that I don't take pictures of the two of them religiously, but there is nothing wrong with starting a tradition!)

Trey has been quite the helper. Sometimes, a little more then is needed, but he has been so loving and sweet to Tian. I know it must be difficult not having as much one-on-one time with us as he is used to getting, but he is adjusting.

We love you Trey-Man and are so grateful to have you as our oldest son.

Tian @ ONE month

10.16.08
-My mother-in-law Marie helped me sew a onesie for each month of Tian's first year. I saw this idea on another blog a year or so ago and thought "I need to do that." This onsie was one Marie actually DID for me, showing me a new stitch on my sewing machine which I had never used. Thank you Marie for helping me!

This scull and cross bone fabric was introduced to me by my friend Chelsea Ann. She brought me a burp rag in the hospital with this same print and I just HAD to have some fabric for a onesie. I know, I am a little strange, but it is all in fun.

As you can see by these pictures, Tian hasn't grown out of his fear of being nude. He still hates to be cold, which I don't blame him.

I can't believe a month has gone by. I am a little nervous at what lies ahead in our lives; if this is how fast a month goes, what am I to expect a year or two to feel like?!

Tian has been a complete blessing in our lives. Two children takes a little adjustment, but Tian has made it so comfortable.

We love you T!

Please don't report me to Child Protection Services for these pictures. I promise, he wasn't crying for that long.

Tian's 1st Playgroup

10.15.08
Tian's 1st playgroup was held at Wendy/Megan/Ashlynn's home. I had kept Trey away from his "girlfriends" (as he so fondly calls them) for way too long, it was time to rejoin playgroup. The girlfriends (Megan and Beni) played nicely all by themselves, and us ladies with babies were able to visit. Wendy mentioned how much has changed since we first began playgroup. The kids were just little babies and we would have to move their limbs to music, help them sit to look at a book, etc. NOW, they are at the age where they are playing in a totally different room all by themselves, making the BIGGEST messes, and becoming so independent.

Megan is the sweetest little mini-mama there is. She was so sweet with Tian!

Beck and Tian-6 months apart. "Beck could EAT Tian," Angie joked!

Thanks for having us over Wendy. Sorry for the mess our sweet little children made!

Mr. Sandman

10.15.08
We bought a play structure and built a sandbox in hopes that one day Trey would play in it. Well, that was a given! He loves it and plays in it often; with ME outside watching him. I secretly had hoped that some day he would want to venture out ON HIS OWN and play by himself. I DREAMED of this day occuring, thinking it would never be a possibility.

They day finally came. As I was cooking dinner, Trey came to me and said, "I'm going outside to play." And that was that! This is Trey, enjoying himself, ALL BY HIMSELF, in the sandbox! I thought this day would never come.

As you can see, I was quite estatic and couldn't believe my Trey-Man was growing so Independent, without me by his side. I couldn't help but document this feat, who knows if it will ever happen again!
