Dodgeball

9.18.08
After Trey's Big Brother Party, James and Justin went and played Dodgeball. This was a big night for them and Grandma Bend and Trey wouldn't have missed it for the world. Justin's team ended up at the top of the reader board! Great Job "Average Mo's 24th ward!"

Visit from Amy and "the Boyz"

9.18.08
Amy, Gage and Cole came and welcomed Baby Tian into the world hours after we arrived home. They showered us with matching shirts for Tian and Trey. Thanks for the visit you three!

Big Brother Party

9.18.08
As a suggestion from Trey's pediatrician, we held a "Big Brother Party" for Trey the day we came home from the hospital. We invited a few special people in Trey's life (Miss Michelle's family and "the cousins,"), had pizza and cake. It really was a special night for Trey. He was so proud to introduce his baby brother to everyone; telling everyone, "that's my baby brother. His name is Tian!" and enjoying time with his friends. Thank you all for making this a special night for Trey.

This white board and chalk board were a present from Grandma Bend to Trey for his Big Brother Party. Thanks Grandma Bend

Justin was out mowing the lawn before the party and some Columbia High School cross country runners ran by our yard and saw the "It's A Boy" sign. They all yelled, "Congratulations to Justin. So sweet!

Trey with cousins Jared and Jacob opening Trey's "Big Brother" gifts from Miss Michelle. All the gifts were DIEGO related, which is the hottest thing on the block in Trey's eyes! Thanks Miss Michelle

Miss Michelle and my mom chatting away. Miss Michelle and my mom were in close contact the day of Tian's delivery. Miss Michelle has helped us in more ways then I can count. They joined us for Trey's party before Tanner's football practice. Taylor was at a cousin's birthday party.

The cousins brought over some Rescue Hero's for Trey. He is getting into those action figures; and his cousins had a few they were not playing with. I couldn't believe how sweet and kind Trey's cousins are. Willing to give up their toys for Trey-Man! Thanks guys!

James is a total "baby Man!" He can usually be found holding his own baby, but this evening he was spotted holding ours. Isn't it crazy how much James and his son Jared look alike? I showed this picture to Tina and commented on how similar the two look. Her response was, "SCARY huh?!"

Baby Tyson

Look at this Bledsoe Bunch. It keeps growing!

going home

Carseat Check: PASSED! Goodbye room 8004! Being wheeled out of the hospital by a sweet old volunteer. As we were heading down the elevator, we were joined by a security guard. The volunteer told us how special we were, being escourted by a security guard out of the hospital. I told them the didn't realize just HOW famous we were; and that the paparazzi were waiting outside the hospital doors to receive the first baby photos of our little Tian.

2nd visit from Dr. Archibald

9.18.08
Tian gets a 2nd bill of health from Dr. Archibald. I love the hospital; we leave knowing our little boy is healthy and has been seen 3 times by his Pediatrician! What a peace of mind!

it fits!

9.18.08
When I purchased his "Going Home Outfit," I wasn't really expecting Tian to be nearly 8 pounds. I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't fit, but it fit like a glove. I now wish I got it in every size; it is so cute!

Sucking on Thumb

9.18.08
Tian found his thumb! Just as we were packing up to leave the hospital, Tian showed us his first of (hopefully!) many skills: Sucking on his thumb! It is so sweet to watch him; he keeps his hand wide open, sticks his thumb in his mouth and just about gashes his eye out with the rest of his fingers. So sweet!

A cry only a mother could love

9.18.08
You might think I am awful, but I had to get a video of Tian's cry. Our pediatrician thinks it is funny and would giggle every time he would examine Tian. The moment we uncover the poor little guy, he cries. The moment we cover him up, the crying halts!

Restless Night

9.17.08
I couldn't get much sleep our 2nd night in the hospital. I kept hearing a baby cry, thinking it was Tian. We had sent Tian to the nursery for the 2nd night at about midnight, and by 3:00am I couldn't sleep. So, I ventured out to the nursery to find out little guy out like a light and fully content with his peers!

Visit from the Brown's

9.17.08
Jaime, Ian and Ava paid us a sweet visit, bearing gifts: 4 bags of candy corn (Jaime and I had JUST been talking about how much we love Candy Corn) and a huge 2 liter of Dr. Pepper. They also brought a fun ball and candy necklaces for Trey. So thoughtful; thanks Ian and Jaime.

On a side note, we came up with Tian's spelling, thanks to Ian Brown. We had JUST found out we were pregnant days before Jaime and Ian's baby Ava was born and paid them a little visit in the hospital. Days after visiting the Brown's, Trey was STILL talking about "Ian." We had already decided on the name "Tian", if we were to have a boy, and after hearing Trey say the name "Ian" over and over, I told Justin, "Ian sounds so much like Tian, but with a "T" in front of it." And the rest was history. Whenever we are asked how we spell "Tian's" name, we say it is like "Ian" with a "T" in front of it!!!

Baby Ava with Ian. Ava is just weeks older then Cousin Tyson. They would make such a cute little baby couple!

Jaime and Tian

Thank you Brown's for Trey's candy necklaces. As you can see, he is LOVING them!
We sure love your friendship and appreciate your kindness in our behalf.
