Spooky Sweet Swap

10.15.09
I have some of the most creative friends! My friend Jessyka organized a Spooky Sweet Swap at her home. As the children played, the moms decorated jars with Vinyl art, one of Jessyka's MANY talents!

'Ghosts' and 'Witches Wands' were our contribution to the Spooky Sweet Swap!

Trey eating the frosting off the sugar cookies. HE was in heaven! He had his friends, he had some yummy treats; what more could a little guy ask for?!!!

Trey doing what he does best; playing tag and running after a cute girl! (One girl was invited and I think he and Keaton would have chased her all afternoon!)
Thanks Jessyka for having us over! You are so talented, your home is beautiful, and we love your company!

Grapes

10.14.09
My friend Alyce found a vineyard in Payette, Idaho that was selling grapes for CHEAP! (1 bushel=(2) five gallon size buckets=$5!!!) Tian and I jumped into Alyce's car prior to picking up Trey and Alyce's son Tyler from preschool, and from preschool, took the journey to Payette! After getting a little turned around (we actually just didn't go far enough into Payette) we finally came to the vineyard right before a rainstorm! We picked for about an hour, picked 5 bushels, and then came back home. The boys laughed and chatted the whole way to Payette, Tian snoozed, and Alyce and I gabbed! Thanks Alyce for the drive!

Look at the size of that leaf? Alyce and I both were amazed!
This picture makes me giggle! Our boys were a sight! Tian was dressed for snow ( we didn't know what the weather entailed) and Tyler was digging for treasure, or at least that is what it looks like!

The boys were pretty excited to pick grapes!

FYI: Bees LOVE grape juice. As we filled our buckets, the bees began swarming the grapes. We trapped some bees in our buckets, and eventually got stuck in the bucket. We tried to get as many as we could out of the bucket, but it was nearly impossible. As we were driving home, Alyce and I kept checking the back window for any bees that might have escaped. At one time, there were 15 bees swarming the back window. Thankfully, we stopped for lunch and were able to get most of the bees out.

Girl's Nite

10.1.09
It has been almost 2 years since Chelsea, Abbey and I have had a girl's nite! We celebrated with the season premere of Grey's Anatomy, caramel popcorn, killer nachoes made by Abbey herself, and sparkling cider. Thanks Chelsea Ann for letting us crash at your place!

I am sure Abbey will kill me when she sees these pictures posted on my blog. Did she think I WOULDN'T post them? HEHE!

Rain, Rain

10.3.09
Trey finally got to put his green frog rain boots to good use! We really don't get much rain, but this weekend we received more rain then we usually do over the whole month of October.

teeth

10.16.09
As of today, the 16th of October, Tian has 8 teeth, and 2 molars on the way. Thankfully he has so many teeth because he puts them to work. NO, he doesn't bite! He just eats and eats!

And while Tian waits for his molars to break through, he LOVES his paci! Not my favorite, but definitely one of his!

Tickle Monster

10.6.09
Ah, I wish you could hear this little guy's laugh. It is so stinkin' sweet; it make you want to tickle him all day!!!

Check out those chompers!
And he is off, trying to get away from his torturous mother who can't stop tickling him.

He runs out of steam and continues to laugh while laying on the ground.
Finally, he gets up the energy to run away! How could you not love those chubby little legs and elbows....
... and that smile!

Shaydon and Playdates

10.8.09
We love our afternoons when Shaydon comes to play! While his mom gets beautified (like she NEEDS to get any more beautiful!) we play and eat lunch. This day was extra special because we decided to have our weekly playgroup at our home. Shaydon wasn't shy at all, getting right in the middle of all the kids. I had planned on him eating lunch at the table with some of the younger kids, but he wasn't having it. He told me he wanted, "Outside" with the bigger kids! Who wouldn't?

We love you Shaydon, thanks for letting us spend the afternoon with him Sommers!

"D" Girls

10.11.09
Since purchasing my EOS camera, I have been reading my owner's manual like a fool. I really have wanted to get the full usage and have been practicing my photo-taking skills on my family for a few months now. I finally got brave and asked a sweet friend if I could steal her daughters away for an hour to practice taking pictures on someone other then my own children and husband. She said, "Sure" and gave me permission to not only put her little girls in some dirty alleyways in Nampa, but also let me post their pictures on my blog.

Thank you Jessica and girls for the opportunity to practice some skills I have been ready about! These girls are beautiful! I could have taken poloroids and still would have received great pictures!

***Wouldn't you DIE to have hair like theirs? I know I would!
