The Hunter's away again?!
We are so happy to announce that our Hunter is back, but unfortunately he came back empty handed.
As Justin was away, we finished our last swimming lesson session and Trey really shined! He pulled out all of his tricks and really showed Mrs. Larkins what he learned. We will miss our lessons and the time we spent with Angie and Trey's girlfriend Sydney.
Trey and I spent one last time at the Apple Orchard and filled Justin's trunk up with apples. I am now actively searching for easy apple canning recipes!
I worked 2 extra days, Intermountain Medical Imaging is opening it's 4th location and needed some serious help. Stupid me, what was I thinking? Picking up two extra days in a week that Justin was hunting? I must have been crazy. Thankfully, and luckily Miss Michelle is the sweetest woman known to man and watched Trey on those days. Trey got to participate in Show-and-Tell and took a family picture to show his friends. Miss Michelle's daughter Taylor took pictures during Trey's "turn," so cute.
I was able to take some pictures of Trey in Eagle yesterday as we were out running errands. One of our errands was to look for "helicopters." While we were leaving our subdivision, a helicopter was landing at the Nampa Airport and Trey wanted more! We drove to St. Luke's Meridian and drove to their Life Flight office and looked at the helicopters from the car! I think that sufficed Trey's need for the "helichopter" (as he pronounces it!)
We are so happy to have Justin home, our family is finally complete once again!
Baby Shaydon's Blessing 9.30.07
This morning we had the opportunity to attend Shaydon Gerratt's baby blessing! What a sweet, beautiful baby he was, so nice and quiet during his blessing. He looked like a doll, just lying in his daddy's arms. A ton of family and friends came from all over to witness this event. After the blessing, the Gerratt's had a brunch at their home and if you know the Gerratt's, they have the most amazing food! A wonderful time shared by all!
I couldn't help but post a picture of Trey in his sweet tie! He looked very dapper for the blessing! Justin and he both sported their pink ties. What great sports they really are! (Real men wear pink!)
When the Hunter's away, the Family will play!
The hunting season is upon us once again, which means as Justin's away, Trey and I will play! I had the luxury of having one day of work the rest for play and boy did we ever!
We visited the "duck park" which is a park in Nampa that has Trey's two most favorite items; #1.Ducks, and #2. Swings! We were literally attacked by swarms of ducks, and later retreated to the swings. Trey loves to be pushed "higher, higher, no HIGHER mom" which scares me to death as I vision him flipping out the back of the baby swing seat. Later that afternoon we met up with some friends at the zoo. Trey loved the turtles and the sand box where instead of digging for dinosaur bones, he made pancakes (can you tell what we had for breakfast that morning?!) and threw sand at his friends. Thankfully his friends were very forgiving and let us continue to spend the afternoon with them!!! That evening we had our 4th session of swimming lessons where Trey learned to blow his cheeks up like a balloon, put his head under water, and then come up and blow his balloon out with a "popping" sound. He also tried to float on his stomach like "superman." He thought that was amazing!
Trey had been asking about his friends Sommers, Scott, and baby Shaydon, so we spent a good part of our Friday September 21st with the baby and Sommers. Trey just loves them and was very sad Scott was at work. Trey had been talking about sleeping with Shaydon, so while at their home, while Shaydon slept so peacefully, we placed Shaydon on the floor next to Trey. Trey carefully covered Shaydon up with his blanket and laid next him. So sweet.
After a meeting in Downtown Boise that afternoon, we met back up with Sommers and Shaydon for some serious shopping!
Friday evening was spent at the church orchard. This was our second trip out to the orchard and Trey loved to pick up the nasty apples and scream, "Icky" and throw the apples down on the ground. Megan Warrick and Trey were making each other laugh hysterically as they screamed and shrieked at the nasty, icky apples. Our friends the Baumgartner's, Warrick's and Peterson's were all in attendance; I loved watching all of our kids running after each other. We are so blessed to have friends with children so close to Trey's age.
Trey has really been getting into his Mister Potato Head, his shape sorter and puzzles. He wanted me to help him with his "Potato" so we made a fantastic little Potato guy. After our masterpiece was complete, I said, "Trey, what do you think of your Potato Head?" And his reply, "Cool Dude!!!" Hilarious!
