Linder Farms & Volleyball

10.13.08
Happy Columbus Day! Justin was planning on going hunting with a friend for Columbus Day, but at the last minute, decided to stay home with us! Thank you Just! We went to Linder Farms for the second time this season. The last visit to the farm was to get pictures and see the Petting Zoo. This visit was for Pumpkins, to ride the horses, the barrel train, and more animals at the petting zoo.

First, it was a ride from the tractor drawn hay ride for some Pumpkin Searching!

Trey hauled this pumpkin around the whole evening!

Next, it was to the petting zoo. I thought these animals had looked familiar, and sure enough, we had seen these animals at another location. Last year, we saw them at "Santa's Farm" in Star Idaho. There was a Zebra, Camel, Donkey, goats, and an horses.

Thanks to Trey's POOPY horse, the kids got an extra few minutes riding their horse!!!

"Hi Mom!"

PS: Trey's shirt is NOT a pajama shirt like my mother thought. It is a Halloween shirt from Old Navy, but I think this will be the last time Trey wears it if it looks like a pajama shirt!!!

After Linder Farms, Trey, Tian and I went and watched Justin and our friend Alyce play volleyball. Justin's team did very well! Here are a few pictures I took without Alyce in "idiotic poses." (Alyce called me before the game and made me promise her I wouldn't post any pictures of her in "idiotic poses" on my blog!)
Can you guess who took this picture? Our families photographer: Trey!

Thank You Hurd's

10.12.08
Some sweet friends, the Hurd's, dropped off a yummy dinner (Lasagna!!!) a few nights ago. I wasn't expecting it at all, which made it all the more special. We are so blessed to have friends who think and care about us.

Thank you Hurd's for your kindness, thoughts, and the yummy dinner.

This is a picture of us on a walk to deliver the Hurd's their pan. I had to take a picture of our new stroller. Trey loves it, and this was the first outing with both Trey AND Tian riding in it! We walked about 4.5 miles and by the time we got home, it was dark and Trey was standing, bent over at the waist, resting his head in Tian's lap.

BSU Pride

10.12.08
All ready for a walk, I couldn't resist a picture of our sweet little guy!

Little Guy

10.12.08
I am not too proud of this picture of myself, but I wanted a picture of my little guy to remember JUST how little he was. This picture was taken after a bath with my two boys. Tian was so content being in the nude, and he looked so sweet and so small. I hope to always remember Tian like this; sweet smelling, soft, and snuggly!

Snake River

10.11.08
Justin took Trey hunting along the Snake River. He was excited to wear his new hunting hat, gloves, and Gortex boots from Grandma Bend.

When he returned, he taught me all about the Snake River. He said, "There aren't snakes in the Snake River. Do you know why it's called the Snake River? Because it wriggles around!" Justin was impressed that Trey was listening to his explanation of the Snake River. Justin said Trey wanted to get out of his backpack just so he could hike up a hill in his new boots!

Tian the Teenager

10.11.08
There are only so many moments in the day where Tian is really alert, and this was one of them. In this picture, I swear he looks about 13. Like his Faux Hawk?!

Trey the Chef

10.11.08
Trey the Chef is at it again, helping me with Banana Bread.

Drive-In

10.10.08

We haven't been to a movie as a family for a long time, and I am afraid there are just way too many germs in a theater for a newborn to be exposed to. SO, we decided to go to the Drive-In. This is one of our favorite Summer/Fall activities to do.

Trey all bundled up and cozy for the movie

We were one of two people to arrive at the Drive-In, and by the time for the show, 2 other cars joined us. 4 cars total, talk about having the whole Drive-In to yourself!

Notice, the parking lot nearly empty

Justin and Trey began to watch the first movie (The Star Wars Clones) outside but got too cold throughout the movie. They came inside the car; Trey sat on Justin's lap, Tian snuggled on mine. Sweet memories, having both of our boys on our laps!

Tian slept in this position basically all night! Such a sweet baby, I will miss these moments soon enough!

I was VERY excited for the second movie; which was House Bunny. A little fact about myself: I find Hugh Hefner and his girlfriend's lives VERY interesting. I had a feeling this movie would be comical and right up my alley in the cheesy category.

Trey stayed awake through the Star Wars movie, and could probably fill me in on the movie's plot, considering I didn't understand one bit of it.(I have never seen a Star Wars movie before, so this was ALL foreign to me!) Once the second movie began, Trey decided he was tired and retired for the evening in his carseat. Tian slept through BOTH movies, on my lap! Justin and I laughed and laughed through House Bunny. Anna Faris, the lead actress, is hilarous.

I am so grateful Justin is willing to sit through silly movies like this one. Thank you Just!

Craft Nite with Sommers

10.9.08
Sommers and I have decided to dedicate at least one night a month for a craft/girls night. The first one was at my home and I couldn't have been more excited! What could be better then a girls night with one of your best friends with chocolate, chips, and Dr. Pepper? I worked on sewing some onsies (with Sommers help. She thread my sewing machine and showed me some tricks), she also showed me some blogging tricks.

Justin was so kind; he kept the boys downstairs and out of our hair (for the most part. Trey came upstairs "Just to check on us" he said and to steal some chocolate and chips!)so we could have a night of peace and quiet!

Thanks Sommers. Click here to see what Sommers taught me and to get to know my friend Sommers a little better!!!

computer AND clock in the background; nearly 11:15pm and we are still blog hopping!

2nd Trip to Work

10.8.08
I stopped into work for our second trip. My co-workers, and friends Joy and Marci hadn't met Tian, so Trey, Tian and I dropped in for a little visit.

I think this picture of Tian is hilarious. Joy and Tian. Joy is pregnant with twins, (possibly with a boy and a girl) and has a little 2 year old boy named Colton.

Tian @ 3 weeks

10.7.08
Tian was watching me fold laundry but was getting quite restless. I sat on our bed with my knees bent up, propped Tian on my legs, and he fell fast asleep. This little guy is just so sweet.

FHE

10.6.08
We went on a walk and made cookies for Family Home Evening. While the cookies were baking, Trey got out Justin's missionary scrapbook and asked Justin questions about the people in the pictures and about all the snow! (Justin served his mission in North and South Dakota. Just about every picture has either SNOW or FISHING in it!)

Tian all nice and cozy after our walk in his snow suit that Grandma Bend gave him. Thanks Grandma Bend!

Tian's first 2-piece outfit

10.6.08
I know I am silly, but I had to document to the world Tian's first 2-piece outfit. He can fit into shoes as well!

Trey wanted IN on the photo opportunity

A Shark in the Park

10.6.08
Our lame weatherman said that today would be a great day for taking pictures. He informed us that there shouldn't be any bright sun, overcast, and "perfect for photographers" were his words. Little did this weatherman know that I had already planned on taking Trey to the duck park to try to take some more pictures of him in his Halloween costume. When I heard his remarks about the weather being "perfect for pictures," I knew my agenda for the day was already planned out: to the park we go.

Well, the weatherman was ALL wrong. There was bright sun, not a cloud in the sky.

Needless to say, the pictures I had planned on taking really didn't turn out all that great, but Trey had fun with the new additions to the park. There was a digging "thing" that Trey really enjoyed.

Tian enjoyed his 2nd outing to the park

Scavenger Hunt

10.5.08
Thanks to my friend Angie's Blog, I got an idea. She had a scavenger hunt blog post, and I thought it would be a perfect activity for after a weekend of conference watching. I wrote down a few things we could find in our neighborhood and we went out searching!

One of the items we were looking for was a cat. Trey pointed to a house and said, "There's a cat." This is the cat he spotted!

Then we found a real cat that was a little too friendly with our dog Cooper. Justin said it must have been raised with dogs because he came so close to our dog, I thought our dog was going to eat it alive. Scare me!!!

Trey did so well at tracking what objects we saw.

Conference Sunday

10.5.08
What are the chances that both little guys fell asleep during the afternoon session of Sunday's Conference? Well, it happened, and boy was I excited! I was able to sit and listen; something I thought I would never get to do this weekend. Thank you boys; I sure do love you!

We love our blanket Tina. I know that our blanket was for Tian, but everyone fights over who gets to use it. Trey one this fight!

Tian will hate these pictures I have taken of him in MY brown and pink blanket. I didn't want him to get cold and it is a very comfy blanket! Poor guy!

Sommers to the Rescue

Sommers and her healing hands cured me again from a nasty back ache. Justin convinced me I was in need of a massage from Sommers and she was able to get me in that evening. I swear, she has such a gift, I am so grateful to have such a great friend AND someone who is so talented! Some might think it is strange when I tell them one of my bestest friends is also my massage therapist, but I wouldn't have it any other way. There is NO awkward silence during the massage, I know she isn't going to go blab on and on about my post baby body (16 days after delivery, talk about BRAVE move on my part!) and she is going to do her very best at making me feel so much better! I would recommend her to ANYONE; so here is my shout-out to all of my friends and family who are in need of a good massage. Whether it be therapeutic or for relaxation, Sommers is the very best!!!
