Snow Day *No Church*

We got a call *late* Saturday night from our Bishop saying there would be no church due to snow. The first thing that came to my mind was, "Thank you Heavenly Father for saving me from my lesson." I really wasn't FEELING it, (the lesson!) and was uneasy about teaching it. What a blessing, the Lord really knows when we are just at our wits!
Just as church would have begun, the snow started falling, and falling, and falling. IT was amazing. I felt like we were back in Rexburg, all over again. Thankfully, I had a car, a nice warm home, and a husband to share the snow day with. In Rexburg, I had none of that, just a sweet roommate, Chelsea Ann to keep me cozy!
Justin shoveled our sidewalks and driveway, and then used that snow to make an igloo. Miss Michelle, Tanner and Taylor stopped by our home to see our igloo and slide, Tanner and Trey had a good time playing in it.

Hot Tubbing in the Snow

Trey hadn't been in our hot tub since he was a little one, and one of our favorite things to do is soak in the tub while the snow is falling. Someone had to take the pictures, so I opted to stay nice and warm in my clothes, inside our cozy home, and take a few pictures! (Plus, you do NOT want to see a picture of me in my suit. EWWWWW, scary!)

Look at that sweet face!!! Doesn't he look like he is having the best time?

The flakes were coming down like crazy, and the wind was out of control. Trey really enjoyed his hot tubbing adventure, UNTIL the jets turned on spontaneously, and then he freaked out. Those could be a little scary! So, out I run, from our cozy home, to grab the scared critter. It was a great time while it lasted, and I am SOOOOOOOOO grateful I got these pictures!

Lunch with the Gerratt's

After working up a serious apetite while sledding (did you SEE the hills we were pulling Trey up?!!!) we stopped in at the Cracker Barrell to eat lunch with our friends Sommers, Scott and Shaydon Gerratt! I have never had a lunch or dinner food, and my sandwich was delicious! We enjoy spending time with the Gerratts, it is amazing we have been friends for 7 years now!

While traveling from the Cracker Barrell home, we passed the Boise Temple and noticed the flag was at a half mass for our beloved prophet whose funeral was earlier that day. We are so grateful for the opportunity we had to be taught at his feet. He was an amazing man who changed the world's perception of "Mormons" in more ways then anyone has. We will miss his smiling face and wonderful teachings.

Sledding with the Moore's

2.2.08
We were planning on traveling to McCall for the Winter Carnival, but had heard the roads were nasty and a storm was coming through. So, we decided to stay in town and go sledding instead!
Justin had done some research, and had heard that there was a perfect place to go sledding right off the highway. I know, sounds very scary and dangerous, but we were really, REALLY off the road and far from traffic.
We invited our friends the Moore's and Gerratt's (we met the Gerratt's later that afternoon for lunch) and had the greatest time. Justin rigged Cooper's dog leash to our tube so we could pull Trey around, what a perfect invention. If it wasn't for that leash, who knows how Trey would have gotten around!

Angie and I have so many pictures like this of Geoff and Justin. We have pictures of them pushing their babies in strollers, walking hand in hand with them, and now pulling them on sleds. So cute, what memories we have with Geoff, Angie and Sydney.

Look at Syd's face, she is so excited.

Justin and Geoff took the plunge by hiking up to the very top of the hill (we were taking Trey and Sydney down the lower half which wasn't THAT steep!). As Geoff hauled down, Angie and I screamed, thinking he was going to take out this little girl. Thankfully, he was far enough away that she was unharmed. Justin got so much air, it was amazing he was able to walk after his trip down the hill!

Blue Man Group

2.1.08
Justin is the master at winning Radio Contests! He called me on 1.30.08 at 8:00am telling me he had just won a radio contest. The contest: he had to speak for 30 seconds without saying, "Like," "UMMMM," and stalling! He was in "speakers group" through work, so this was a piece of cake for him! He of course won, and the prize: Tickets to the Blue Man Group!
We had dinner at Taco Del Mar, DELICIOUS, before the big show! Justin just LOVES to get his picture taken while he is eating, can't you tell?!

The Blue Man Group were definitely high energy and huge entertainment. I have to admit though, most of the night I was just looking at their faces, trying to imagine what the heck they had on it! If anyone knows, fill me in!!!

Taylor, Miss Michelle's daughter watched Trey for the evening! As I was getting ready for our "date," Trey asked me where I was going. He then wanted to go on a date himself, so, he and Taylor had a "date night!" I am sure Taylor was thrilled!
Thanks Taylor, and thanks to Justin for your mad speaking skills!

Chocolate Face #2

2.1.08
This post is just for Trey's second cousin Emma who lives half way across the country. Trey and Emma met before they were one but enjoy looking at each other through e-mail and blogs! So, this chocolate face is for you Emma! Enjoy!
Love, Trey

Pictures from Girl's Nite January 23, 2008

Chelsea Ann was so sweet and sent me pictures from our Fondue night at her home with Abbey! Abbey eventually fell asleep on Chelsea's kitchen floor as Chelsea and I stayed up talking, she must have been exhausted from the drive that day!

Sleeping Abbey on the kitchen floor
We woke her up to get a picture of her. Not the greatest picture of me, but cute of them!

Bless Chelsea Ann's heart. She spent so much time and energy getting this picture of Delaney! Delaney has sensitive eyes and hates the flash, so after about 25 pictures taken, and some serious laughing, this is the outcome! Trey's girlfriend, Delaney!
