Trick-or-Treating 2007
Megan Warrick, the ladybug, and Trey! (in front of the Nampa Library, waiting for the rest of our friends!!!)
And we begin, on the streets of Nampa
I think this is the funniest picture EVER! It shows how warm it truly was, (and how bright!!!) and trust me, we weren't the most eclectic group out there!
We began a new tradition, I hope to carry our for many years to come. Downtown Nampa has Trick-or-Treating, from store to store, 3-5 on Halloween day! We met Megan Warrick, Beni Miller and Beni's cousins Brooklyn and Tyler! This was the first Halloween I actually sweat to death! It was so hot, I prayed Trey wouldn't roast to death in his costume! (Here I am buying the warmest costume I could find when I really should have dressed him in shorts and a t-shirt!)

Trey and his friend Batman (aka Gage Baumgartner)
Shane and April Dittrich invited us over to their home for a Halloween Party. They have an amazing backyard, perfect for kids and families! Everyone brought yummy soups which we shared with everyone. After dinner the kids enjoyed games, Trey enjoyed their trampoline and slides. We could only stay for an hour or so, but the time we spent there was fantastic and memorable!
At the end of our busy day of Trick-or-Treating, Justin, the dragonfly, and I met up with Justin's parents, our nieces and nephews, and brother and sister-in-law! Justin's parents drove into town for our nephew Jacob's baptism and wanted to be in town for all of the Halloween festivities! Our brother and sister-in-laws ward was doing a trunk-or-treat in a middle school parking lot, and right across the street is our stake building. We parked in the stake building's parking lot and walked across the street to the middle school. As we were crossing the streets cross walk, we walked right in front of a fire truck (one of Trey's many favorite vehicles at the moment!) and to Trey's surprise (and mine!) the firefighter who was driving turned on their lights just for us! Trey was grinning from ear to ear! What a special experience!
We started with trunk-or-treating and then ended up trick-or-treating around James and Tina's neighborhood! Trey loved it, he was a bit nervous to say "trick-or-treat" but enjoyed running around with "the cousins" getting candy. I really, REALLY tried to get him to say "thank you" at least, but he was a bit on the shy side most of the night! He got many compliments on his costume!
I am kind of sad. This was one of the first holidays Trey really got into and it is already through. Until next year, when Trey becomes the "Sweet Toothed Shark!" (yes, call my psycho, but the costume has already been purchased!)
