Trip to Bend

4.9 through 4.12 2008
Trey loves his trips to Bend and it is always jammed packed of fun activities, mostly all outdoors, and they usually include either a grandparent OR an uncle. Here are some of the high lights:

*Helping Grandpa Bend and G.Pa with mending a fence.
(My dad told me Trey would probably be REALLY thirsty afte helping with the fence, not because he actually HELPED out with the fence, but because he talked NONSTOP for 3 hours! My poor father and Grandpa's ears!)

*"Helping" (notice I have the word in quotes! I actually think he was hindering, but don't tell him!) Robert fix his car. Uncle Robert is very good with cars and can always manage to fix a car that isn't starting! Trey enjoyed handing Robert tools he needed and "tinkering" around under the car and in the hubcaps.

*Taking an adventure ride with Robert in the acerage in front of Grandma and Grandpa Bend's home. Robert promised me he wouldn't go too fast, and Trey loved it because there were no cows in that field.

*Robert taught Trey the version of "Jingle Bells'" that talks about "Batman smells, Robin Lays an Egg." Now, instead of Batman smelling, it is "Mommy smells." THANKS ROBERT!

*Feeding the cows and helping gather and rake hay. I have learned that Trey only likes the cows when they are NOT "Mooing." Trey has figured out if you keep feeding the cows, they will not MOOO! Therefore, Trey LOVES to feed the cows because they are NEVER mooing!

*Playing "hide-and-go-seek" with the barn cats

*An afternoon with Grandma Bend all to himself while I went to Stone Soup's (my favorite children's boutique) "Gargage Sale." Some funny things Grandma Bend told me Trey had said were:
-while traveling down highway 20 back to Grandma Bend's house, they were following a large SEMI truck. As they were driving, Trey was singing, "Following the leader, Following the leader" as if the Semi Truck was the leader and they were following him.
-Trey went outside to help Grandma Bend feed the cows, and as they were walking out to the barn, Trey looked back at Grandma's home and said, "Grandma, your home is BEAUTIFUL!"

*Movie watching with the grandparents

*putting together puzzles, REAL big-boy puzzles with Derek and Grandma Bend

*Playing Dodge Ball and having Races with Derek and his friends!

Thank you for letting us join you for a fun filled week Grandma and Grandpa Bend and GiGi and G.Pa. We sure do love you!
