McCall Ice Festival

1.31.09
We have tried to make it to McCall each Winter for the Ice Festival. I was a bit nervous taking Tian, considering he HATES the cold. After dressing him in three layers, he seemed as comfy as ever. Here are some things we saw:

The Castle

This ice sculpture was probably our favorite! There was an interactive slide, a moat to cross over via a bridge, and the knight and dragon were some of Trey's favorites (the knight, considering Trey will be a knight for Halloween 2009)!

This is a video of Trey "attempting" to slide down the ice-slide on the castle. Poor guy, he got stuck at the very top which freaked him out!

Wizard

Tree

Each Tree had a face carved out of it.

Dragon

This dragon looked very similar to a sculpture a few years ago.

It isn't every day you see a HUGE horse walking down a busy road.

My boys and their Daddy

After walking around and seeing the sights, we ate lunch at a deli and then it was off to tube!

Tian all smiles at the deli!

Trey and the tubing hill!(unfortunately, the tube only lasted one trip down the slopes before popping! Trey didn't seem to mind, he still kept tubing with a popped tube!)

On the way back from tubing, we passed by the McCall Fire House that had the cutest old fashioned firetruck!

It was so nice to get away for the day, enjoy the winter weather, and spend time with our two little guys!
